The part you can't ship

The cookies travel. The matcha does not. This is what is waiting in Harlingen and Brownsville.

Matcha Ceremonial grade, whisked to order. That color is not a filter.
Boba Pearls cooked fresh through the day, never sitting in syrup since morning.
Mochi Donuts Rice flour dough. Chewy, light, gone by two on a good day.
Basque Cheesecake The top is supposed to look like that. It is where the flavor is.

Our story

Give up, or keep going

In December 2019 we took over a failing boba store in Brownsville. It was supposed to be a side business.

Then February came and my husband lost his job. It stopped being a side business. It was the only thing we had. Two choices. Give up, or put everything we had saved into it.

We kept going. In the worst of it God showed me not to give up, and our faith is a real part of why TORA is still standing. Four kids at home, watching. Somewhere in there the boba shop turned into a bakery.

Tora means tiger. We picked the name for the coffee. We did not realize we were also naming me.
